Kathy
Currie, actor, storyteller, and instructor, has been telling
stories for over 20 years at schools, festivals, camps,
churches, and family gatherings. She founded the Bards By
The Bay story troupe and produces quarterly story nights
at the Jewel Box Theatre in Poulsbo. Her animated style
captivates audiences of all ages, preschoolers through seniors.
Her repertoire includes multicultural tales, conflict resolution
stories, science and math stories, fairy and folk tales,
legends, myths, and poetry.
Kathy's CD "Esther Samuel,
A Woman's Journey On the Oregon Trail" was created
from her research of 100's of diary entries from women who
made the arduous journey across America. It is also one
of her most popular programs. Kathy has performed throughout
the Pacific Northwest and Canada and across the Pacific
to New Zealand, where she brought American folklore to Maori
children. "Everyone is connected by story."
