Through song, humor and tales of universal experiences, Allison Cox offers stories and workshops across North America and beyond that touch the heart, heal the soul and celebrate diversity. Storytelling accompanied her work as a mental health therapist, social worker, health educator, health promotion specialist and prevention specialist over the past 23 years. Allison was the chair of the Storytelling for Prevention Conference in Fife, WA, 1998 and a founding board member of the Healing Story Alliance. Allison is a co-editor and contributing author for The Healing Heart books on utilizing storytelling to encourage caring families and build healthy communities.
