Farida Dowler shares stories and plays guitar to accompany
traditional and original songs for preschool and kindergarten-age
children, along with their caregivers. The stories Farida
tells are often humorous accounts of how characters with
determination and generosity of spirit end up doing well
for themselves. She offers a wide variety of songs that
welcome participation from audience members. Farida is trained
as a children’s librarian and has worked with both
The New York Public Library and King County Library System.
She is available to perform at bookstores, libraries, festivals,
and parties.
